Teaching and Research Interests
Dr. Sherry has teaching experience in middle and secondary schools both in the United States and in Europe. His interests are in English teacher education as well as the use of technology in the classroom including video annotation and multigenre case study. He incorporates reflective writing as techniques of teacher preparation and professional development. Especially adept at helping learners increase self-awareness through goal-setting, revision, and compilation of personal work, he has received numerous awards for his teaching both as a doctoral student and after his first year as a faculty person at Bloomsburg. He has co-edited a book and is sought out for his expertise in classroom pedagogy.
